Frequently asked questions
Which course should I take?
Take the free placement test — it finds your JLPT level (N5–N1) and points you to the right course. Complete beginners start with the Pre-N5 starter; if you already know some Japanese, you begin at your level.
Do I have to start from N5?
No. Placement puts you at the right level, and a test-out check lets you skip units you already know, so you only spend time on what you actually need.
What is included in each course?
Each structured level is a full path: video and interactive lessons, grammar and vocabulary, kanji and vocabulary review with spaced repetition, AI conversation and pronunciation practice, graded reading, and a full JLPT mock exam with a certificate at the end.
How long does one JLPT level take?
It is self-paced — each level is a series of units with checkpoints and a final mock exam, so you move as fast or as carefully as you like. Daily review keeps what you have learned from slipping away.
Can I study more than one level at once?
You follow one structured level at a time — that keeps a single, clear path rather than half-finishing several. You can switch to a different level whenever you like, and your progress on the level you leave is kept, so you can come back to it later.
How do I switch levels — do I lose progress?
No, switching keeps your progress. Withdrawing from a level saves where you were; you just re-enrol in it later to pick up exactly where you left off. Enrolling in a new level simply makes that one your active path.
How do I enroll in a course?
Open the course from the catalogue — each card links to its detail page — and enroll from there. There is no inline enroll button on the cards; the detail page is where you start.
